La libertad iluminando el mundo


  La estatua de la libertad es el monumento mas famoso de Nueva York, se encuentra en la Isla de la

 Libertad, junto a la desembocadura del río Hudson.

 La estatua de la Libertad fue un regalo de los franceses a los estadounidenses en 1886 para conmemorar el

centenario de la declaración de la Independencia de los Estados Unidos y como un signo de amistad entre

las dos naciones. Es obra del escultor francés Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi y fue diseñada por el ingeniero

Gustave Eiffel. Desde 1984 es considerada patrimonio de la humanidad por la Unesco. La estatua

representa símbolos como la libertad y emancipación con respecto a la opresión. La estructura interna es de

cobre, donde la cabeza mide 43 metros. La estatua funcionó como faro entre la fecha de su montaje y 1902.

Estaba dividida en 350 piezas y tardaron 4 meses en emsablarla.

La corona que lleva en la cabeza tiene 7 picos y que simbolizan los siete continentes y los siete mares.

The Statue of Liberty is the most famous landmark of New York is located in Liberty Island, near the mouth
  
 of the Hudson River.

  The Statue of Liberty was a gift from the French to the Americans in 1886 to commemorate the centennial

 of the Declaration of Independence of the United States and as a sign of friendship between the two nations.

  Is the work of French sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi and was designed by engineer Gustave Eiffel.

  Since 1984 is considered World Heritage by UNESCO. the statue symbols represents freedom and

emancipation from oppression. The internal structure is copper, where the head is 43 meters. The statue

  functioned as a lighthouse from the date of assembly and 1902.

 It was divided into 350 pieces and it took 4 months emsablarla.

The crown worn on the head has 7 peaks and symbolizing the seven continents and the seven seas.
